Kristopher Anderson is a former Manager of U.S. Government Relations for McDonald’s, he served as Government Affairs Director for the Illinois Association of Realtors, has worked for Cook County Government in both the Department of Revenue and the Department of Budget & Management Services and more. Because of his experience, Kristopher is able to provide intelligent insights and perspectives on the inner workings of government. Not many people have a better understanding of government at the local, state and federal levels than Kristopher Anderson. They say “you should not fight city hall,” but that is what Kristopher does every day on behalf of the Chicago Association of Realtors. In this episode, Kristopher and I discussed many topics: financial literacy, Roth IRAs, the American education system and online/alternative learning, the Chicago Residential Landlord Tenant Ordinance of 1986, some of the many problems with it and the need for RLTO fairness, how housing markets are booming in red (republican) states, service of process in eviction cases, rent control and the problems with it, the need for about 200,000 units of affordable property to solve the affordable housing crises in Chicago and the need for building homes to solve that problem, incentivizing business development by restaurants and big box stores on the South Side, Fair Housing, John Oliver’s deep dive into housing discrimination on YouTube and much, much more. We shared a great conversation and some good laughs. Thank you to Kristopher for taking time out of his schedule to join me! Don’t miss it! Please watch, like and share, share, share!!!!
